I have used this ball lamp less than 5 times while sitting on my living room table. No children play with it. I plugged it in and left it on for less than 30 minutes. I finally found a place to use it, took it off the shelf and put it in the box. I took it to work, took it out of the box and pocketed it. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't turn on. I said wow I had this on the shelf for months and never took it off or used it. I plugged it in to sit and watch TV, but that's about it. In case you notice, I came here now to see how long it took before it just stopped working. I will never buy anything from this company again. There are no scratches on the base. The glass is perfect. It looks like it was just bought, just put on the shelf. I hate it now if you buy something and if you want to use it it's dead. I think if you do something you do it for a while. I'm glad I waited to write a review. I'm so angry I finally wanted to use it and it doesn't work. Many Thanks
