worked great in the beginning. It was great. Now, after about 10 weeks of use, the number of light tentacles visible when the lamp is not touched has reduced to a few. Therefore, the lamp became very dim. Needless to say my 2 boys and I are very disappointed.

I bought two of these lamps for my 11 year old son because he broke the first one when it fell out of bed. He loves to. Pretty neat lamp and definitely a conversation starter. My only advice is that it's pretty fragile. Parents might want to keep it in the box unless in use as my son broke the second box (it tipped over on his dresser and he is a conscientious kid). you can't buy another. But a big and beautiful lamp.

Attention buyers! We bought this for our 11 year old son's birthday. After my son plugged it in for 4-5 hours, it touched and it smashed his face and whole room. Thank god the only injury was a small cut under the eyebrow which didn't hit his eye but it could have happened. It was very scary and I'm surprised they didn't temper the glass so it doesn't break when heated as they sell it to children. We reported this and I wanted other parents to know to prevent injury from using this product.

Lots of mixed reviews about these plasma balls. but this one works great and my son loves it! little known fact, if you balance a coin on the sphere and then hold your finger a few millimeters above the coin, sparks will actually pass through the glass and into the metal. , & move to your finger. Be careful, this will result in a black mark on the finger and the smell of burnt skin. This may not be an authorized use of this product, but I discovered this decades ago when these things first came

I am absolutely thrilled. My son was always talking about wanting one of these and you finally got it for Christmas. It is very beautiful, bright and pleasant to look at. Works very well.
