Good serpentine belt for Duramax LBZ

Sounds like a good product. Fits perfectly. It wouldn't be fair to rate it for its ease of installation as I had to take apart half of my truck to replace it! If I encounter any problems I will update this review.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Works great so far for belts, hoses and pulleys.

. Can't comment on durability yet, I've only driven about 500 miles with this new belt. As long as it doesn't stretch, it works great. The installation of this belt was not bad

Pros
  • . Great product.
Cons
  • . Doubtful.

Wrong length

Quickly received the belt, opened the product and found the belt is longer than my original. I took a chance due to my situation and the belt slip on a relative's pulleys squeaked. Very disappointed unfortunately I cannot return as my belt is worn out.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Negative gift

Great belt so far (Duramax lly)

Eliminated intermittent serpentine belt squeal when starting and shutting down my 04.5 lly Duramax. A bit of a hassle to install but looks great and got rid of the noise. The sizes are a little longer than the OEM sizes, but that's why it squeaked. I'm not sure about the durability yet.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • So good so far

Solid product suitable for spares

Installed on my 04.5 LLY GMC Sierra Duramax 3500 Dual. Great fit, great look. Slightly larger than a standard belt, but the tensioner takes up the slack with plenty of room. Replacing the belt isn't the easiest, but if you've done it before, it's no big deal either. Definitely recommend

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • poorly thought out

This is handy for a Duramax with a 145 amp alternator

I didn't see the length of this belt in detail, it just said it would fit my car. However, my vehicle has an RPO code of K68 which means a 105 amp alternator and requires a 118.7" belt. This one is a little longer. It was longer than a strap I had taken off a truck that had been in service for several years. I had to go back.

Pros
  • item
Cons
  • crumpled packaging

Fits my 07 Chevy 3500 Classic Duramax, 6.6

I was nervous about buying the wrong belt and there are no parts stores where I live. It was my first time changing the belt and I thought it would take a day but it was easy. It took longer to remove the old belt than to install the new one. The belt doesn't go around the fan blade like on most cars, otherwise it would be a real job. It took me 30-45 minutes with no rush. My truck is a classic '07 Chevy Silverado 3500 with a 6.6 engine and a 145 amp alternator.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Can't remember

Looks trendy and powerful as advertised. That does not work.

You sent a defective belt. Which really sucks because installing it on a 2006 Duramax isn't much fun. After installing this belt it went over my pulleys. Most noticeable on my upper idler pulley (which was brand new). I thought the pulley was defective so I replaced it with the original pulley to no avail. The tape keeps moving. I went to AutoZone and picked up a regular brand name belt. Built in (which isn't that much fun for this motor year) and don't you know. Pulleys work great and are a…

Industry standard serpentine

Installed on my 2006 Silverado 2500 LBZ Duramax. Draw a diagram of the belt path. Pull the air cleaner assembly and intercooler pipe (port side) (good time to replace 2 o-rings 3 3/4" x 3/16" viton at my local gear for $1.49). Pull the clips on the main radiator shroud and remove the top half. Remove the 3 screws holding the inner fan cover (13mm). You might be able to get around all the obstacles without leaving the fairing, but the extra space and comfort is worth the little work, trust me…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
