this one works pretty well and is inexpensive.
Lots of mixed reviews about these plasma balls. but this one works great and my son loves it! little known fact, if you balance a coin on the sphere and then hold your finger a few millimeters above the coin, sparks will actually pass through the glass and into the metal. , & move to your finger. Be careful, this will result in a black mark on the finger and the smell of burnt skin. This may not be an authorized use of this product, but I discovered this decades ago when these things first came out.
