We purchased this strap based on the description that it would fit our 2009 Saab 9-7x but it is a few inches shorter. We ended up running to the local store and bought the correct continental belt which was about 2 inches too big and fitted correctly.

I couldn't find any squeaks in the engine bay anywhere in the rotating assembly on my Pontiac Grand Prix. I love these alligator straps. Yes it was actually a Goodyear Gator marked belt, it could be old stock as Continental Elite was supposed to be the new name for the Gator belt. The special groove is just one part, the rougher, almost profiled back really reduces squeaking.

The images show an old Gatorback Good Year belt. This is NOT the same type of belt despite the photos. If I wanted a regular belt, I'd go with any other belt, not that overpriced crap. I was okay with the bounty if it was a gatorback style belt well over a year old but no bullshit as it is now, really annoying.

Wanted a type of Gator but got the regular style. This is a case of misrepresentation of the actual product sold and the product you will actually receive. Revain must review and critique each item sold for its accuracy. What do I give for the stars? I didn't try the strap just to show that I really wasn't happy with what I wanted and got the opposite, the star only reflects that and not the product just to make it clear. I will definitely return it.

Great belt. The Poly V tread design is amazing. I imagine this thing will stay on my car for a very long time. It appears to be resistant to tears as it has many grooves cut to increase flexibility. My old belt wore out quickly and squeaked so badly that nothing could stop it. The Poly V has performed well for the last 1,000 miles without a single chirp. Hello I am repairing my 1990 builder ford bronco for the soul. He developed the infamous Ford "Twitter". This required cleaning the various pulleys AND purchasing a new belt and tensioner.
