Description of Kormoran Snow 225/45 R17 94H winter

Winter non-studded tires Kormoran Snow are designed for modern passenger cars. The Kormoran Snow tire is designed for predominantly driving on snow-covered and cleared city roads. Kormoran Snow winter tire is designed for passenger cars of various classes. Wide applicability is achieved by an assortment of several dozen sizes for wheels with a diameter of 15 to 18 inches. Developed by Michelin specifically for the subsidiaries of the French concern. It is characterized by increased reliability in difficult road conditions and pronounced fuel-saving properties. The bus uses several non-standard technical solutions. One of them is the so-called "micro-ribs" inside the longitudinal drainage grooves in the central part. These elements additionally enhance grip on snow, forming numerous sharp edges. The tread pattern is characterized by an increased density of narrow slots. In total, they form several thousand very sharp edges, with which the tire reliably clings to a slippery surface. The transverse arrangement of these elements provides it with excellent efficiency during acceleration and deceleration. A distinctive feature of the tire is increased reliability in difficult road conditions. In many ways, it is achieved due to the increased number and internal volume of drainage grooves. Those of them that are located in the central part are directed against the movement, due to which the tread has the ability to use rotational force to drain water and its mixture with snow. This greatly enhances the resistance to hydroplaning and slashplaning. - "Micro-ribs" inside the central drainage grooves increase traction on snow; - increased density of the lamellas provides reliable behavior on ice; - Wide and counter-moving drainage grooves in the central part prevent slashplanning. Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

When using rubber, only positive sensations, in the snow, the road keeps excellent, rowing. It is also good in the rain, only the brake path is a little longer, in ice it keeps the track by 5 points! Tread pattern is VERY GREAT!

Pros
  • Kormoran car tires are produced at Michelin factories in Poland, Hungary and Romania. There shouldn't be any questions. 185/65/R15 - 2585 rub. for SKAT!
Cons
  • At this price point, they don't exist!

It's not a bad product, nothing extraordinary.

However, it is best to select one that has lamellas that are more often spaced apart. After completing my experiments with this manufacturer, I will move on to experimenting with others. The benefits of it include: In typical Hong Kong conditions, such as when there is an adequate amount of snowfall, snow between the rows, or sleet, it is not at all problematic and is not noisy. Some cons: The Opel Astra J was unable to function properly in the deep snow during the greatest snowstorm (February…

A really necessary purchase, I'm glad I found this product.

If you don't fly. 90-120 on the track keeps fine. Does not hydroplan. On loose snow clings quite confidently. Ice does not slip. The reinforced sidewall has not proven itself, sidewalls are possible on a low profile. But it happened rather on their own stupidity briskly flew onto the curb.

Fits the description completely, very satisfying.

They presented themselves in the best possible light during the mild winter of 2022 in Hong Kong. On the other hand, for such mild winters, I would suggest tires with a tread that is less "evil" and that has a more resistant side.

Pros
  • The tread design is beautiful, it is quiet, it is economical (the consumption increased by only 0.1 l in the cold), and it is affordable.
Cons
  • Controllability in corners (rolling is felt), occasionally the "gear" effect is visible (very little vibration of the z-z), weak sides (but even more costly models sin with this), miracles did not happen on ice without spikes uphill - the grip is poor, but pulled out with slipping, and miracles did not happen on ice without spikes downhill.

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

After skating for a number of seasons on spikes (Cordiant Sno-Max, Nordman 5, Sava Eskimo Stud), as well as Velcro (Nordman RS), I came to the conclusion that during the winter months, I drive on asphalt the vast majority of the time in the city. Wet, with snow and other precipitation, or typically dry when the weather is nice. In light of this, when it came time for me to select rubber for a new automobile, namely one that would be used for crawling from one traffic light to the next, the…

Pros
  • - The cost, particularly for more substantial sizes Suddenly, the performance while driving is lot better than I anticipated it would be. - Uncomplicated, well-balanced, and free of issues - B -20 not oak
Cons
  • Despite having a medium level of noise, a coarsely carved tread pattern nonetheless makes its presence known. However, they are less noisy than thorns. - Although I wouldn't say that it goes straight and lightly, the sidewalls are quite thin. In comparison to the ordinary summer tire, it still feels as though the wheels are somewhat overinflated, despite the fact that they have a profile of 65 and a lower pressure than the standard one. All of this, however, can be traced back to the noise and suspension characteristics of a certain automobile, as well as the dimensions of a particular type of rubber. I have 205/65 R16.

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

I am satisfied with the tires, for normal road driving - quite. There is no feeling of a tank, as on studded Nokian and Gislaved, but also the price. For 20 years I have tried a lot of rubber and this one is no worse than the hyped brands. But the main trouble with cheap tires is hard frost and microcracks on the tread after 2-3 years, I hope this will not happen here, time will tell. For a heavy (2 tons or more) car, and for off-road driving, I would still put something with a more powerful…

Pros
  • Low price, made by the freedom-loving Serbian people (not China) and a proven herringbone pattern with a distinct tread height. Again, the large SUV inscription on the sidewall warms the soul of the owner of the crossover. Departure of the first season, about 12 t. Km, tested in Scandinavia, St. Petersburg, M11, even in the mountains. holds well, unexpected drifts and slips are not satisfied (speed up to 130 km / h), in contrast to the outwardly good, but worn-out Michelin X ice, which he took off. We also got to the dacha on snowy porridge without any problems. There was no frost below -20, but at -20 it did not freeze (I ran to press with a screwdriver from above). I didn’t notice much noise (there were spikes and not spikes).
Cons
  • The sidewall, apparently, is not too powerful and it’s better not to find fault with the curbs, for all sorts of garbage with the possibility of a side cut, do not travel. But easy. Bare ice does not like parking, but it is definitely not worse than the old studded one.

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

Got pros: The price, in September 19, was worth 3 Good performance on asphalt and snowy surfaces. With its cons: Weak grip on ice. Example: about zero temperature, stopped at a traffic light, the road is uphill. The ice under the wheels was polished by hundreds of cars - as a result, it barely started.

Everything is fine, there are only minor drawbacks.

We urgently needed a budget winter Velcro for Ford Fiesta. Bought a car on the summer (kama euro). On the advice of friends bought this cormoran. Been away all winter. Feelings are like that. After the kama it is noisier, but then either I got used to it, or it became quieter. Handling is very phlegmatic - high tread blocks, soft sidewall, high profile . It rides perfectly on wet ruts - in St. Petersburg on the Ring Road in some places you can kayak during the rains. At high speeds (140-150 km…

Pros
  • Good price, nice design, "a lot" of rubber
Cons
  • Weak behavior on ice, handling, very soft
