Ever wanted a detergent that wouldn't discolour or fade on your fabric? Well, this purifier comes close. First, the degree of discoloration and fading of the fabric largely depends on the quality of the garment. For example, fabric with very cheap dye will stain and fade no matter what detergent you use. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this detergent retains the color of the fabric. After about 10 washes, my new jeans looked almost brand new. The same goes for my black shirt. This detergent was not as good at maintaining fabric integrity. But it was most likely my washing machine. However, I am still happy with the amount of fading in the fabric. Yes, there may be a small compromise in stain-fighting ability. I don't think this cleaner was designed for tough stains. It was created for those treasures that visibly fade and discolour under the influence of aggressive cleaning agents. If you've used Woolite on this type of clothing, you may like this product better (Note: DO NOT wash dry-cleaned clothing with this detergent). If you wash your clothes in COLD water with this detergent, you'll likely be pleased with the results. After all, this detergent is still not enough for professional dry cleaning or laundry. If you want to prevent even the slightest fading, discoloration, or shrinkage of your clothes, professional dry cleaning is still the way to go.
