Review on Iota Tailored Absorption Charger Chargers by Christopher Bates

This works for my AGM solar bench but the details available on how to use these IQ4 panels are very scarce. I have some information that may help others with this. The LED function can be confusing, but it works. The main confusion on my part initially was that the first few times I used it (24 volt system) it never flashed meaning it was always in the float state and never in the absorb state. The voltage levels off at 27.2 instead of 29.2 as stated in the manual. Finally, I started charging when my bank was very low (around 45% SOC) and this started the absorption cycle. If the bank is about 70% or more when charging starts, it will immediately be set to float. That makes sense, but nowhere that I've found it is mentioned. This works and the parameters are NOT configurable so make sure your back conforms to the parameters these forces are forcing. In general it works fine.
