I bought these mainly to replace my small pliers when doing repair work, as I tend to leave them on the construction site, which is too expensive. First, these pliers cannot be used effectively to twist wires. The jaws of linear tongs are parallel and most of them don't even touch. This way you can safely grab the ends of the wire and twist them together without damaging the wires. The jaws of these pliers are tapered with a sharp point which pushes out the wires and also doesn't hold well, this is not a suitable design for a pliers. However, I have to praise them, they feel solid and well made, they are comfortable in the hand, the cutter also works very well. The wire strippers work well but they are not marked, one has to find out which one is suitable for the wire to be stripped. I wouldn't buy them again for electrical work, manufacturer videos tout their ability to cut nails, which they will do, but all my wire cutters, even my Craftsman needle nose pliers, cut nails for 16 cents with no damage. I didn't buy them for cutting nails or soft hexes, but for wiring, which they don't do very well. I would also like to know how they are supposed to grind the wire as they claim. I would have returned them but our new pup chewed on the handles but now I feel like I wasted my money.
