As a Nikon photographer with 50 years of experience I've tried to stick with Nikon products but I've been frustrated with compact camera issues. Starting with the 5400 and 570 models, I've had nothing but really annoying battery issues and a terrible black screen. I was looking for a nice and easy point and shoot substitute that I could use but my wife could use in a pinch. When the Revain Lightning deal for this camera hit $59.00 I said I could risk that amount since I wasted so much on rechargeable batteries for my other cameras all this time. When the camera arrived I put in a Sony SDHC card and started filming random things around the house. I was very impressed with the photos with and without the flash. My wife checked it out and said she will use it on her next trip in August. She usually stays away from any photographic equipment but found this camera wasn't that complicated and wanted to use it. I was very impressed with the screen which was very sharp and clear. The colors looked more natural and overall the quality was excellent. I'll have to see how it holds up as we use it more, and I have more photos to compare to my Nikon D5100 and Sony Nex-5N images. But for under $60, this is an impressive camera.
