Overpriced Digital Cameras

I have owned this camera for several years and was surprised to see that it sold for over $200 when I bought it when it was $100. I was immediately disappointed when the photos I took indoors were too dark, blurry and unrecognizable no matter what settings I tried. They were mainly made in churches with vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows that let in lots of light. These are really great beautiful photos in daylight, as well as fireworks with auto adjustment and other settings. I also

Great value for money with many unexpected nifty features

Very easy to use point and shoot. I use it for wildlife, parties, house building and other casual events and it works really well. It has an excellent auto focus feature that detects faces and the subject of a photo. It works perfectly 95% of the time, which is quite a lot for this price range. The battery lasts exceptionally long. I'm pretty busy charging, but I've run out of batteries before with Kodak cameras - it hasn't happened with this camera. When you connect it to a computer, it…

Beauty on the go! good for camera and photo

I have my big Canon which I don't want to carry around all the time, I bought this camera just to throw in my purse and go. It's small, light and takes amazing pictures for a small camera. I take it everywhere, to the park, to the lake, etc. and I don't worry about damaging it. Very cheap for what it is but worth it! I love Canon much more because it has its own battery and lasts 1000 times longer than a camera with two A batteries. This battery lasts me a full couple of days if I use it most…

I thought I liked it

I was looking for a very basic camera that would be easy to use. This camera started out that way for the most part, but there are SO many options that I don't really need or want that I'm still trying to figure them all out. I always have to refer to the guidebook to understand what all the options mean. It's a fairly easy camera to use, but sometimes I get into a dilemma because I haven't read the options clearly enough to understand them all. I would recommend this camera to anyone who has…

Good Camera for Point and Shoot Digital Cameras

So far this camera is working well for us. My wife says it's a little difficult figuring out how to switch between modes to find the mode that works best for what she's trying to do, but for the most part the automatic feature works for what we need. None of us are photographers, we just want to take pictures of our kids and our cell phone cameras just don't capture the speed of toddlers. We didn't have any blurring issues on any setting and were able to take some great photos with this camera.

ILLUMINATED CONFIRMATION

As a Nikon photographer with 50 years of experience I've tried to stick with Nikon products but I've been frustrated with compact camera issues. Starting with the 5400 and 570 models, I've had nothing but really annoying battery issues and a terrible black screen. I was looking for a nice and easy point and shoot substitute that I could use but my wife could use in a pinch. When the Revain Lightning deal for this camera hit $59.00 I said I could risk that amount since I wasted so much on…

Not bad at all for the price.

Bought this point and shoot for an elderly relative who vacationed with her relatives a few times - she needed an easy to use camera that took decent pictures and it seemed like a really good choice spent a small amount of money. I'm a semi-professional photographer so it's hard for me to rate a consumer camera, but I'll do my best! I would like to point out that this camera seems to be changing the price daily here on Revain. We spent less than $80 on it, which is all I would pay for a camera…
