I bought it to be able to work remotely while traveling.

My work requires multiple screens to share and review information from multiple applications at the same time, which is not easy without one or more additional monitors in addition to the one on my laptop. It takes a bit of trial and error to figure out which combination of cables and power supplies works best, but once set up it's stable and works well.
