The reviewers who recommended ordering two sizes up were wrong in my case. I think that even one size more can be too long. It's a tension band, so you can't just cut a new hole if the band is too long. Also the last hole of the belt couldn't catch on the tongue of the belt buckle due to the construction of the belt (even then it would be too loose). BTW, others have asked if the buckle is removable, and yes, it's held in place by a latch that can be undone. In addition, belt loops made of leather are held by latches that can be opened. This gives the user more options to attach a different buckle, i.e. there are 3 buttons that can be operated to adjust. I think it would be a pretty good belt if it fit me but given the long shipping time I don't want to keep trying different sizes until I get the right one so I sent mine back for a refund.
