Almost instant cycle!
God it works! Using a liquid test kit, I checked the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels daily. For the first week, the ammonia results were barely greenish but never reached 0.25. Tests showed no ammonia levels after the first week. The nitrites never read anything other than zero. The nitrites reached an acceptable value of 5.0 after six days. By all accounts, this provided an almost instantaneous cycle!
