We bought a new iPad for our son as a Christmas present last year, so the first thing we bought after that was a screen protector and case. It comes with 2 tempered glass screen protectors and it was easy to put them on. We've had it for a year now and haven't had any problems. The screen is still very touch sensitive and appears to offer good screen protection. I don't know if we'll ever use a second screen protector, but I think a spare would be nice.
