Might be a little too thick

These are great for holding dirt in the pot but it might hold the dirt in a little too much and not allow for adequate drainage. I repotted 10 plants and used these and have lost about a quarter of them due to overwatering. I've always watered until water would start to come out of the bottom hole of the pots and this never happened. I had so much water in the pots that for 2 weeks when I put the meter in the dirt it showed that the soil was way wet and was past the point of registering on the…

Pros
  • They are drain covers. Nothing fancy, but do the job perfectly
Cons
  • Not suitable for larger flower pots

Delivered too fast ! Have used many hundreds of these screens

I use these all the time. Work just fine, they do their job. I ordered them and they got here so quickly I was shocked. I just ordered two more sets of the 4" ones.

Pros
  • The mesh is fine and looks sturdy. I am glad that it meets my purpose.
Cons
  • Could be a potential choking hazard for pets or children

Double check what size you need!

My dumb but bout 4x4 screens for 4 inch pots.well that obviously doesn't work! Its ok because they are easy to cut down to the size I need, just not as convenient. But they work great. Will def buy again in the correct size next time.

Pros
  • Very inventive tool for potting plants
Cons
  • The mesh could rust and stain the surface underneath the flower pot

Small but perfect on my review.

These are exactly what I was looking for to put at the base of planting pots to keep the potting soil from draining out. These are only a couple of inches in diameter so they're fairly small in comparison to ones you can get at your local orange box store but they do the job just fine and come in large packs, so great for weekend repotting binges.

Pros
  • Does just what it’s supposed to do!
Cons
  • Could be difficult to handle with bare hands

Very Useful and Durable

For pots with large holes you can use this mesh pad to not worry about losing the substrate medium. This is my 2nd order and I use them for my succulents, lithop, cactus, as well as containers that went outside into the garden.

Pros
  • Perfect size and it stays put..I use small stones for drainage and these keep them in the pot.
Cons
  • The pads might affect the aesthetics of the flower pot

Just didn't work for my project

I am not giving your product a bad rating. I just wasn't what I needed. the Shipping time and packaging were ALL just fine. I just didn't work for what I was trying to do.

Pros
  • Great price for the quantity. Exactly what I needed.
Cons
  • The pads might not be suitable for all types of soil

Highly recommend for planters with drainage holes

Fits really well with all my planters with drainage holes. I used to use coffee filters since they are biodegradable, but I decided to give these a try. I really like them since they don't break down easily and I can keep reusing them over and over again. I went for the larger 4-inch diameter size for more surface area. For small planters, I just cut them out fold them in half. This is a must buy!

Pros
  • Perfect for the task !
Cons
  • The mesh pads could hinder the growth of roots

Great product and value for the money

Keeps soil in the pot but lets excess water drain out. Great product. Great vaue for the money. Have ordered them twice. Arrives on time.

Pros
  • All these times I Have been use coffee filters to cover the holes. Now very happy I got this one!
Cons
  • The mesh could affect the pH level of the soil

Great Problem Solver

I was watching one of my favorite plant-tubers who would place some of her plants in the shower to clean them off and give them a little humidity. I could not do that because I feel dirt from the plant would clog the drain. I saw that as she repotted her plants, she would place these little discs in the bottom of the pot to cover the holes. I decided right then to get the little discs, because I've always had a problem with dirt coming out of the pots whenever I top water my plants. These discs

Pros
  • It is easy, convenient and durable to use covering the drainage holes in my flower pots.
Cons
  • Could be difficult to insert into the drainage hole

Perfect Bonsai Mesh

A perfect size mesh for the pot for my new bonsai tree. The order came promptly so I could get my tree set in. Thank you! That's my review.

Pros
  • Helped my plants become plentiful.
Cons
  • The mesh could provide a breeding ground for bacteria

They do great work.

I can’t go without them now. The old terra-cotta pots that I like to use have very large holes in the bottom and I’ll stick one or two of these down there every time I pot a plant. Definitely recommend so you don’t get dirt in your saucer when you water your plant.

Pros
  • The drainage screens are as described and are working great.
Cons
  • May not be effective in preventing soil erosion

Great invention! best in my review

I love these little screens. I always used pot shards in the past, but when we moved recently, I accidentally left them behind. These are great. I have two packs of them and so far so good.

Pros
  • I love to use these in my planters. They are so easy to use.
Cons
  • The mesh pads might clog up with soil and debris

Fine grains to prevent soils leak

I have used couple of pot hole mesh by metal and plastic but so far this is the best with the price.Other ones I’ve used were either breakable, or mesh grains were too big, so there are many souls leaking out from the hole when I bottom watering plants.Love the package is actually resealable for easy storage!

Pros
  • Liked that mesh could easily be cut to put in multiple planter pots
Cons
  • The mesh might not be strong enough for heavier plants

Makes perfect sense

Sometimes there are simple products that make you stop and wonder why they haven't existed "forever." This is one of those. just lay it down in the bottom of the planter/pot and proceed to fill it up. No mess, yet sufficient drainage. Great!

Pros
  • Putting in all the pots now - time will tell if drainage gets blocked
Cons
  • May not be suitable for plants that require specific nutrients

Haven't opened the package yet

Looks good from what I see through the clear plastic window. Not ready to use them so haven't opened the package. Feel a bit rushed to submit a review, but apparently the seller wants reviews done ASAP. Gave it 4 stars because of not using them yet.but like I said, they LOOK good.

Pros
  • Added some silicone adhesive so that they would stay put in my planters. That made all the difference.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for plants that require well-drained soil

Easy to use and work great

These handy mesh screens to exactly what they need to do: stop soil and compost from falling through pot holes on potted plants. They are super light weight, and are small enough to fit every pot. For ease of use, these are the bomb!

Pros
  • Great to keep soil in pots rather than have it running out the holes in the bottom. Would order again.
Cons
  • The mesh could become brittle over time

Good screens for pots

These are exactly what I need to cover the drainage hole in my pots.I purchased this item new, but the package had been previously opened when I received it. There were 50 screens in the package though, so not too big of a big deal.

Pros
  • Definitely does the job. Great product!
Cons
  • The pads could potentially block the drainage hole entirely

Prevent soil loss! - my new review

Have small succulent containers and notice after months of watering that the level of soil in it is much lower? This inexpensive tool maintains soil levels and prevents soil compacting when combined with a pea gravel. This will lower the risk of root fungus and plant death.

Pros
  • Easy to use. Just what needed.
Cons
  • The pads might not be biodegradable

Thinner than expected

Great for the money! Seems to be working well so far. I’ve had in my flower pots for maybe a month now so hard to tell. They are thinner than I expected so I doubled up, but no big deal as there are so many in the pack.

Pros
  • These are very handy. Got tired of cutting my own out of old screens. And they are thicker too.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for plants that require less drainage

Love these! I don't have to spread a thin layer of rocks/pebbles at the bottom to keep the soil in anymore! What I do to keep them in place is to use my 'lil glue gun to make like two tiny dabs and glue the mesh to the inside of the pot so that it doesn't move around. Will purchase again when needed.

Pros
  • Awesome for what I needed it for🤞
Cons
  • The mesh could cause injury if not handled carefully
