I bought them to get my second lobe piercing and they worked flawlessly. Everything is packed safely and neatly. I definitely felt it go through my earlobe, but I wouldn't call it painful, and I think the ice anesthetic would lessen any sensation at first - I just didn't think about it until I put ice packs on her afterwards have. .
