Mattress was good but baby didn't like it

Mattress seemed great and went well with my old bassinet (mid 60's I think) but every time, when I tried to put his child on it, he screamed. I think it might have been the plastic cover of the mattress - it wrinkled when laying on it. But that's just a guess as I can't ask him! Luckily I ordered a second mattress that didn't have a waterproof cover/liner and slept great on this BabyPrem duvet. There's nothing special about that, just our kid's personal preferences!
