Saves you a lot of money. Period

Is worth its weight in gold. My son bought a used 325i with the dashboard on fire due to a traction control malfunction. Went to the local auto parts store and used their scanner. Nothing. The alignment was recently done, now the steering has become perfectly straight. I went through all possible reasons before buying a scanner. Scanned and found the steering sensor has been disabled by a trouble code that is triggered and disables traction control. The scanner guided me through recalibrating the steering sensor and the issue was resolved. Where I live it's between $110-$140, just call a mechanic to get a diagnosis (do what I did). This covered its cost on first use.

Pros
  • Basic functions for BMW Group vehicles: diagnosis of all systems (engine, ABS, transmission, SAS, SRS, ESP, TPMS and other systems), reading and erasing fault codes. as well as reading the data stream and getting VIN information. You can use the "Delete all system error codes" context menu to delete all error codes with one click once the diagnosis is complete.
Cons
  • Useless functions
