I bought these to replace the standard antenna on Retevis series radios (starting with RT21 and later adding H-777). Both models of Retevis portable radios offer a range increase of up to 3 or 3 times the original range. I have since replaced the standard H-777 antennas with the same results. If you need longer range for both receiving and transmitting I STRONGLY recommend this is a fantastic choice and much better than the extra long 15" or longer whip antennas that are also available.
