I had high hopes for this thorn finder. Maybe too high. It's very good in my opinion, but not much better than other less expensive spike finders I've used. If the price were lower I would recommend it without hesitation. It works well and is simple and easy to use. But I've used cheaper spike finders that also worked, including one with multiple LEDs like this one. The grip of this product is better than most spike finders, so I think it's worth paying the extra price. The integrated pen holder is also practical. If you like these features then I recommend this spike finder. If price is very important and you prefer a smaller size that fits in your tool belt or pocket, then I suggest checking out other stud finders before settling on one.
