As for the dryer balls, they initially worked quite well. I appreciated that the lugs on the balls were shorter and more rounded than my old dryer balls so they didn't wear out as much on our thinner clothes. Unfortunately, these dry bulbs are falling apart after only 4 months of use. Some have already lost some bars (as shown in the picture). All drying settings were used from maximum to air drying at approximately 4 loads per week. My old dryer balls were bought many years ago and still aren't wearing out like these new ones. I will not buy these again!
