Firstly the LNB I received was not the model shown previously - it is a slightly narrower model with continuous horizontal grooves that you see in some other listings . , but it doesn't matter in terms of connectivity. I believe what is shown in the listing is an .R2 model, while the resulting model is .R5 (meaning "5th version of the model from my research"). Installation couldn't be simpler - no tools required - and just replacing my old .R2, I immediately noticed about 10% signal strength on my 99 satellite so that's great. With any luck, this will also fix the misfires I've had in freezing weather, which also seemed to be an issue on some earlier models.
