This item was initially problematic. Effective use requires a hose nozzle, the design of which is terrible. After a slight bend, it slides over it, but mostly falls out. Sucking is fair. The filter is the main problem. I used it once at home with mixed results after finding ways to attach the hose and improve suction. I put it in my car today and let it run for about two minutes before the engine seized up and stopped working. I'm sure it's a good product for a small user base, but not for me.
