The fan arrived crumpled in the packaging and with the front grille removed. I should have returned it immediately but decided to refurbish it and give it a try because the reviews are high. Replacing the front grille wasn't a big deal as the fan didn't look damaged otherwise. The fan worked flawlessly for 3.5 weeks; a little noisy at high speed but lots of air is just what I need. However, my wife noticed the burning smell before I did and shortly thereafter the 3 speed derailleur became a two speed and eventually a single speed derailleur. The motor was definitely very hot so I shut it down and called the company to get a replacement. The company was very receptive and responded very quickly. I was given the option of a refund or replacement and opted for a refund in the event of early refusal. However, I have to admit that the company stood behind their product and I appreciate that.
