Not the best option for a covered patio. Very noisy and narrow walkway

I bought this to install on my covered porch and was very disappointed. It arrived with an unbalanced blade that made it vibrate insanely. The company sent another blade that was better balanced. Now sometimes only 1 or 2 of the 3 speeds are turned on. I've probably been using it for less than an hour and the cruise control isn't working properly so it's not a usage issue but it seems to have gone bad from the factory. Also, the air path it moves is very narrow, so it's not good for a porch or…

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Weight

The fan arrived crumpled in the packaging and with the front grille removed. I should have returned it immediately but decided to refurbish it and give it a try because the reviews are high. Replacing the front grille wasn't a big deal as the fan didn't look damaged otherwise. The fan worked flawlessly for 3.5 weeks; a little noisy at high speed but lots of air is just what I need. However, my wife noticed the burning smell before I did and shortly thereafter the 3 speed derailleur became a two

Just installed so happy with it so far

4 stars overall because I don't know the durability yet although it seems well made. We use a fan to blow the heat down from the ceiling to the return air vent for the forced air heating system. We have a wood stove that we use occasionally in the winter and this facility helps to even out the heat a lot. Most likely, we will only use the lowest speed that is sufficient for our purposes. One feature to rate was the ease of cleaning which I gave a 4 star rating as it requires some disassembly…

well built old school

The fan is easy to install, very well made. First check in the garage. The flow pattern is very linear. From 10 feet away, the air appears to be about 3 feet wide. From 15 feet it looks like the airflow is about 4 feet. My flag moved about 28 feet in the garage on all three settings. According to the instructions, the overload protection is deactivated. I would assume that if the motor gets too hot, it will shut off. Mine goes in the attic before airing. I'm going to direct it into the hot air…

  • Absolutely amazing!

A solid fan considering the size, but it does have a quirk.

Solid workmanship, they leave a lot of room considering the size. I bought two and installed them in my garage. FL heat is brutal. In doing so, I came across something interesting. When they're on the ground or a flat surface, they move a lot of air. It can be felt at a distance of at least 15-20 meters. When mounting on a ceiling such. B. the ceiling in a garage, the fan delivers about 10% of its power at the top. Something about how close the fan is to the ceiling given the bracket that comes

This fan doesn't move air

I read so many reviews and I knew this fan was just what I needed for the boxes in my barn. It wasn't that difficult to hang up, but I was very disappointed when I turned it on. I continued to run the fan at all three speeds and tilted and rotated the fan toward the corner feed since I installed it on the opposite corner. Even at the highest speed I didn't have any air moving to that side of the stall. I approached the fan and felt a slight movement of air and thought I might have installed it…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Sad packaging
