Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Redragon K552 Gaming Keyboard 60% Compact 87 Key Kumara Mechanical with Cherry MX Blue Switches for Windows PC Gamers - RGB Backlit White by Robert Xayamonty

Great white keyboard priced at

I had never owned a mechanical keyboard before so I decided to branch out and bought this keyboard and another Redragon keyboard with red switches. I like both keyboards for different reasons and would definitely recommend this brand to anyone looking for a good first keyboard. Pros: โ€ข It feels sturdy but isn't heavy at all. โ€ข The keys are of good quality, generally comfortable and smooth. .โ€ข Typing on it is like typing on an old typewriter, VERY fun to experience for the first time โ€ข RGB is amazing. It's controlled directly from the keyboard, you can adjust the brightness, and there are a TON of different effects to choose from (many of which include both rainbow and solid tone options). My favorites are the ones with a smooth rainbow color transition (FN+END once) and one that flashes with every short keypress for a more subtle backlight (FN+HOME twice). โ€ข I like white, it looks better than black. with RGB backlighting, and the keys are really legible when the backlight is off. โ€ข Hot-swappable keys are an incredibly handy feature that means a bad switch won't be the end of your keyboard, and you can upgrade this keyboard in the future if you want. Not so good: โ€ข People weren't joking when they said the blue switches were LOUD. I'm pretty sure the metal backplate, while feeling very solid, also makes the keys rattle slightly when pressed. This will make the noisy keyboard even louder. I love the feel of the keys. So if you're looking for a quieter but similar experience, I'd look for a Redragon keyboard with brown switches instead. I've typically heard that brown switches provide the same tactile feedback but are quieter. โ€ข On both keyboards I bought, unlit keys with characters added have a rough texture. This worries me that they might wear out with use. Personal Preferences: โ€ข I really wish the Redragon had a white keyboard with no tenkey keys with red switches because I found that the full keyboard was a bit too long for my personal preference and that the blue switches were too distracting for others. If they had this keyboard (K552W-RGB) with red switches instead of blue I would buy it in a heartbeat. โ€ข Blue switches make typing fun. Every key press feels so good, but when it comes to gaming, they don't quite feel right. You can make it work in games, don't get me wrong, I just think this keyboard is best for people who don't mind very loud keyboards and want the best overall typing experience. โ€ข My fingertips hurt after typing for a while, although I have a feeling this probably won't be a problem over time.
