I bought these because they have solid colors and a multicolor option that seems hard to find. They are nice and bright with bright colors and some effects too. My only complaint is that the effects they have are very strange. There are modes where it cycles through all colors, flashes white when switching between colors, fades in and out when switching between all colors, etc. You cannot change the speed or behavior of any of the effects; You're basically at the mercy of the seemingly random behavior of the effect built into this thing. Another example, "Auto" mode cycles through each color and blinks 3 times before moving to the next color. HM ok? Just an oddly specific design choice with no customization options. It just seems like not much attention is paid to the choice of effects of these regular fairy lights because others suffer from them too. Anyway, I only use this for mono/multicolor + "Wave" which is a subtle shimmering effect. Most of the other options seem too new and again very strange because internally it is obvious that these lamps are capable of anything. One piece of advice I'll give if you're using a USB power bank: make sure there's an on/off switch or some sort of auto shutoff so it doesn't constantly run out of power when plugged into the headlights. Otherwise, the power bank will be discharged even if you turn off the light. My small 2600 mAh power bank lasts 6 hours with these lights.
