Does not come with the correct charging cord.?!

I purchased this mp3 player as a small gift for a birthday. I got it Prime so all good there. I went to plug it into my computer, the cord that comes with it is not even the correct port for the mp3. It requires a mini type b but they sent a micro usb. So, I had to order the correct cable for it, another 3 days for that. NOW, I try to sync some songs on it to complete the gift for the person's birthday(TODAY) & oh, no, think again. I now need a frickin' SD CARD?! WTF is happening! I will just go to Best Buy like I should have & had this gift up there today instead of after Christmas. So, just because no good deed goes unpunished, I will be late with a birthday gift & out $20 for some useless junk mp3 player & cord. yay.

My computer doesn''t recognize the device. There were no directions. I think it really means you have to somehow put music on a SD card and put it in. I bought this for my daughter as a first mp3 player. It doesn''t have to be perfect but I''m irritated I have to go to the store for an SD card ( a note saying that it won''t work without would be nice) and hope it fits. I saw another review that a regular SD won''t fit.
