Review on Giro Empire E70 πŸ‘Ÿ Knit Road Cycling Shoes for Men by Ethan Delaney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

These shoes are great for the price

These shoes offer great value for money. They are stiff and quite comfortable for cycling shoes as the mesh upper is quite soft. However, they do hurt a bit if you over-tighten the laces before a hot ride. However, durability is a bit questionable. After only two weeks of riding with it (approx. 800 km), the material on the heel is already worn out. Part of this is because my feet aren't following the correct path of the pedal and my heel is rubbing on the grip as a result, but I've had many other shoes that have held up better to the wear and tear. But they were both more expensive and their uppers were a bit stiffer (and therefore less comfortable). But I don't think you have to choose between comfort and durability. Of course, with well-placed reinforcements, you can have both.

Pros
  • POWERFUL PEDALING: Easton EC70 carbon composite outsole for excellent power transfer, stainless steel hardware and replaceable heel pads for durability
Cons
  • Available in white only
