Beautiful, very well tailored dress, more elegant than "sexy". I ordered a custom made blue for a very special wedding. This shift dress is made of thick satin with lace and a separate long-sleeved chiffon cape. The color of the dress is light blue, a little darker than in the photo. The back is laced with a satin ribbon (no zipper). I'm 5-6ft, a little over 50, size 10, but I chose to order a custom made for a more perfect fit. The fitted dress sits perfectly on the hips and bust, and the length is perfect, just below the knee. The torso is a little roomy, but when the lacing at the back is tightened, it fits well. The dress is fully lined with high quality fabric, has underwire sewn into the vertical seams and a built in structured bra so I didn't have to wear a separate bra. I really needed my husband to lace up the back for me - it's definitely a dress for a wedding or a special occasion where you have a spouse, family member or friend who is helping you but putting in that little extra effort It doesn't make a big difference for me and the lacing at the back makes the dress fit better. The cloak isn't as pretty as the dress, but the 'dusty blue' matte finish (lighter than the photo) serves as the perfect backdrop for the light blue dress. I don't understand the reviews saying it's not good quality - the quality of the materials, cut, lining and hems in the dress I received is very good, better than store bought dresses in the $100 price range. Thick satin is perfect for a fitted, structured dress for women over 35. The company also has great customer service - very prompt, helpful and polite when I changed my order from a size 10 to a custom. The delivery was fast, in the middle of the predicted period.
