My 5 year old has never had a watch. He loves this watch and is just learning to tell the time. I struggled initially to set up the watch, but the manual was handy and easy to read. I could set the month, day and year. We then enter the time in 12-hour format. The watch has a bright glow in the dark. The quality of the bracelet is good, it wraps well around my 5 year old hand. Finally, the watch is waterproof.
