I bought these zippers to use on a biker jacket I'm making - a replica of a Guess jacket I saw in a magazine. I came across a diamond quilted leather during a sale and knew I needed it. I needed zippers for hands and pockets that adhered well to the skin - I found them. The metal hooks and zipper are a big plus for two reasons: 1. They hold up well when sewn into leather and 2. They look very luxurious and complement the overall look. The zippers work well, don't pinch or pinch. The bars and teeth have not lost their color and have not faded over time. The fabric surrounding the zipper teeth is strong and tightly woven - I was able to sew through them easily. The ends of the zipper fabric are trimmed so they don't unravel, which is very important. I would highly recommend these zippers for any project, I know the description says jean zippers but I think the possibilities of this zipper are endless. I like it so much that I will buy it in other colors to copy other biker jackets.
