was damaged I received this product in April. At first everything seemed to be working fine, but after a few weeks the fog cleared. I realized that wicks are needed. I bought the suggested wicks from Revain and replaced them, but then the unit squeaked and didn't work. I have contacted the seller. He was very helpful and replaced the device. It turns out that there is a small feather in front of the wick. Now I think I lost mine when changing the wick. Without them, the device will not work. Good to know! The humidifier is now working great. Key Points: (1) You must purchase wicks, (2) You must trim wicks - always use the previous wick for accurate measurements, and (3) DON'T LOSE A SPRING IN THE DAY!
