I had several walk-in closets throughout the house, each with just a recessed, can-shaped light that didn't illuminate everything all around. So I had to convert the individual "cans" into much larger flat rectangular LED ceiling panels. These outlets allowed me an easy retrofit without having to completely remove the old "can" fixture from the ceiling. I simply used these plugs to create a socket in the glass mount and then made a pigtail plug adapter to connect the new LED panels. A complete remodel and lighting upgrade was an easy project, thanks in large part to these outlet adapters.
