Longtime fan of the E-1 but switched to the Nikon D-200 when Olympus didn't release a 10MP camera for years. The E-3 is great and will keep it and the D-200! You won't regret the extra price for lenses with SWD. 5. Like the dual chip setting. cf and XD. You choose which chip you write 6 on. A very small minus. Auto focus does not work when using the live view function. . The autofocus only works through the viewfinder. BUT manual focus works with live view. Now that I've played around with it a bit, I really like it better the way it is. It's really nice to be able to use the Live View mode for close-up shots and to be able to focus manually. It would be nice to be able to toggle autofocus on and off for live view, just like through the viewfinder. 7. A high ISO produces surprisingly good images. You can easily shoot 400 and 800 with some grit. Just starting to work with 1600-3200.8. The controls are slightly different from Nikon, but they're easy to learn and easy to turn off with one camera or another. 9. The built-in flash is pretty good, but no more than 20ft. Speaking highly enough of this camera, it is superb.
