There are so many positives in this book, beautiful photos, excellent workmanship of the dresses, fantastic use of fabrics and designs, and even a few introductory patterns to help you understand the basic dress with it You can whip it up. own little hankie couture! My only beef with it? (And I know some of the reviewers just LOVED the dialogue.) Yes, the dialogue. I firmly believe that this book could have become one of those all-time classics had it been edited for clarity rather than odd whims. Don't get me wrong, the author has a great voice (you can tell by reading the explanations and instructions) and that's the sad part as she clearly knows her stuff and enjoys saying it's just "fancy" , came out a bit cheesy. and with better processing I don't think it would be.β Hankie Couture's beautiful dress is the seed from which pure intimacy is sown. Whatoooo? Come on! are really little works of art and Marsha Greenberg is definitely to be commended for her tailoring genius, but if I were Marsha and doing a second book I would ask my editor to maybe take a little more time to make sure I sound the whole book over well, i think she deserves it.
