I doubted it because it didn't make sense but after the video explanation I was convinced. You literally pop the phone in and the holder does the rest, making sure everything stays in place. And when it's in place, the phone is secure and not going anywhere. Depending on the weight of your phone (if it's too light) you may need to gently push it into place. Then when you're ready to take your phone out, just pick it up and it's one-handed free. Everything just slides smoothly. Another thing is the vent clip. It's quite difficult to squeeze, but there's a tooth on the leading edge that ensures it grabs the vent. And it's very, very safe. With the phone in place and the mount on the air vent, I have full access to the car's audio system. My only complaint is that I had to go through so many pages to find this!
