Review on 🖱️ KINESIS DXT2 RF Wireless Ergonomic Vertical Mouse by Frank Rivera

I'm a drawing teacher and I've had this mouse for a little over a year and it never leaves my desktop. Bought from a regular mouse due to carpal tunnel issues and after trying different types of mice. I really liked the comfort of this mouse. I've had occasional slight numbness in my pinky and palm when using it for long periods of time, but nothing close to the debilitating pain felt when using a traditional mouse, more of a minor discomfort. This suggests that I expect a little more than an $80 mouse in terms of durability. Like I said, it never leaves my desk, so it never folds up and slips into my laptop bag. I use a traditional mouse at home because the amount of computer work I do there is minimal. Now, after just over a year of use, the cable has deteriorated at the point of contact with the mouse body. This is very disappointing and after a bit of observation it becomes clear that this is a weakness that should have been addressed during the research and development stages of creating this product. In summary this was a 4 star product although it worked (1 star deducted for minor complaints) and I really enjoyed it. Now, just a year after the lamp started normal use, it is unusable due to poor design. I would like to add that I am an Architectural Drawing lecturer and spend most of my working day lecturing and helping adult students. If I were still working as a draftsman, this mouse would last 6-8 months at most. Just something to consider if you are in this area. ****UPDATE**** 10/04/2016 - I received a free replacement from the manufacturer. I always genuinely appreciate the company behind their product. I noticed that the wire sheathing seemed to be made of a different material. It can be seen that this is a more suitable and better material, but it appears to have a less uniform surface. Thank you Stephan Bowden for reaching out and fixing this issue. I've noticed that there have been minor changes to the design of the mouse and I hope future changes will address the weak point of the cable where it touches the mouse body. My rating has been upgraded to 4 stars (minus one star for reasons stated in the review)
