When I first took the Polaris slingshot on a day trip, I returned home with a parched face. I've put thousands of miles on my Harley Switchback with no problem because I had a full face helmet, so I didn't realize how much more protection it offered compared to the half helmet I got to enjoy the slingshot. But with this balaclava, my wife and I went for a five-day walk (Hwy 1, Redwood Rd, and Carmel Valley Rd in California; wow!) without getting sunburned. We also used long-sleeved white t-shirts to keep us cool on sunny days.
