Much better than butt links or worse than T links

Used to replace an old worn out 6 lap link from another brand that was in the back of my truck. I wanted to use the same hole, but the existing hole was too small for this new plug (not the product's fault). I could have bought a step cutter to enlarge the hole but they are so big and I already have a traditional hole saw set. I measured from the top to the existing hole, then placed a 1/4" piece of plywood over that spot and marked my measurements. This allowed me to drill through the plywood with a hole saw and kept me centered on the old hole, when I went all the way through, problem solved. The rest of the installation was easy, more than enough wire to connect it to my bumper connector and the USCAR factory connector on the side of my bed. The kit had everything you need, except dielectric grease.A small hose inserted with the gear would have been nice, luckily I already have a hose big enough to last the rest of my life.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Non automatic
