Can be mixed quickly with distilled water at room temperature without leaving any residue. I sip it down with less than an ounce of water, hold it in my mouth for a little bit, and then swallow - it tastes like dirt, but not so gross that I have to hold my nose like I do with most things because it makes me sick when I take tinctures, cough medicine, etc. - I don't do that at all - not good, but not unbearable. I'm very much against the smell of cat pee and it doesn't smell at all, it smells like dirt with a slightly astringent smell, maybe with a hint of sulfur but it's not overpowering and I don't smell it. My husband adds this to his coffee and says it doesn't change the flavor much. We first tried a similar but stronger brand of black oxygen powder, which he felt was very bitter and very expensive, but he saw some positive results with some problematic calloused skin issues on his fingertips, so I looked around for a possible cheaper alternative to see if we can achieve similar results - time will tell as it's only been a few weeks and I'll update the results but wanted to check that the taste/smell isn't as bad as others stated to have. Photos show color in 10 oz and 0.5 oz of water and no sediment when exposed to light.
