I ordered two of these two piece extensions to complete a toddler fence around a wood stove hearth. I previously purchased a 3-leaf safety gate from the same manufacturer. I give the product 5 stars for its merits (reliable, well made, attractive) but was very disappointed to find that the additional units could not be easily connected to the main gate unit. With some individual ingenuity and a few hours of work, I was able to improvise useful connections, but I want the online product description to make it clear that these extensions are not intended to be connected to other devices from the same company. (Or maybe North States Industries could streamline their manufacturing process so all devices are easily compatible?).
