Review on Coleman Rubber Mallet Tent Extractor by Isaac Maze

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Three strikes, you're out.

First time hiking with this hammer. Shot 1: Hit about three tent poles as a few heads fell off. I managed to put it back in place but it flew away after a few hits. Eventually I clamped the stick to the side of my head and it held up a little better allowing me to use it by occasionally pushing my head back in. Impact 2: The rubber head is not designed at all for driving pegs into a tent. After a single use, the head is completely chewed up. I can see it starting to break down after a few more uses. Line 3: Finally, it has a hook on the back with which the tent poles are supposed to be pulled up. It worked for about three or four bets before flattening out and becoming useless. It seemed like a big deal. But it really doesn't cost a penny.
