That's why I bought this to keep my dog from eating cat food. It's perfect for this and looks cute in my kitchen. Pros: Very cute and non-abrasive colors. I don't mind having it in my kitchen. Feels solid when assembled properly. Decent footprint - not too big and not too small for us. I put a small bed there. I made it in about 20 minutes. It would be easier with more guide holes for the steps. Cons: One leg is very short which creates a tiny wobble. I attached it with a piece of folded cardboard. There are no tread holes which makes it very confusing. Also, you have to get it right the first time if you don't want a bunch of dirty holes. Use a level and don't attach anything until you've fully read all the instructions and tested everything together. No weather protection without paint. Some screws were missing. Not critical because I have a lot of them, but it could be very disappointing. Tools: Cordless drill and Phillips screwdriver. (I assume you would have done this without a drill, but since several pilot holes are missing the drill makes it faster.) Overall I'm pleased and would recommend this lovely home.
