I've been wearing them every day for twenty years because I have a problem with cotton socks that cause mycosis. Wool socks are breathable and do not cause this problem. I also found that, for me at least, they are breathable and don't pick up foot odor when worn for a few days between washes, reducing wear and tear. Speaking of washing, several other reviews I've read complained about shrinkage in the wash. Well... yes, they're made of wool! They can be machine washed with work clothes (jeans), but not tumble dried. Just lay them on top and let them air dry. Pull lengthwise, roll up, put away like new.
