I have this in my 55 gallon aquarium. I have a timer with a "day" and "night" socket and this blue light comes on when my main light goes out. Very small, lots of blue light. You can move the mounting bracket to fit almost anywhere. Mine is mounted on the front wall of my aquarium, pointing down and back, right in the middle of the front wall. It goes UNDER the caps, so it doesn't matter that my two caps meet there in the middle. The light is mounted underneath.
