Review on Portable acoustics JBL Flip 5 Eco Edition, 20 W, ocean blue by Micha Mitrut ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Medium quality, especially for that kind of money.

Everything ruins the sound! I understand that the company is serious and the sound of its devices is branded. I love bass, but the bass is correct, harmonious. I listened to this speaker in a room of 110 sq. m., at different distances, with compositions of different genres. After an hour of listening, I no longer wanted to listen to it. It would seem, where does he come from, but the bass that she publishes somehow drowns out and crushes you. And that's at 50% volume. You make the volume lower, but it almost does not help, only the mids and high frequencies are heard even worse. I went out to listen to the street, the same picture. If only to make louder 80-90%, but move away, for example, on the beach on vacation. In general, you will not listen to vocals and instrumentals, since all this sounds disgusting. When choosing in the store, I listened for 30 seconds, I seemed to like it, and bribed just the same bass, and then everything was ashes, not for me. I changed it to GO 3, of course, the sound volume is not enough, but the playback frequency on medium sound and even small, in the background, is quite satisfactory. The other day we are sitting in a cafe, having dinner, and I pay attention to the nature of the music playing, in the Chill out genre. Familiar oppressive bass and lack of vocal clarity. I looked around, and a JBL portable speaker, one of the older models, is working there. So the sound is really recognizable))

Pros
  • Excellent quality materials and assembly. Great design. Signal reception and connection speed is fast and good
Cons
  • Sound frequency imbalance. The bass sticks out and dominates the mids and highs.
