Review on mi nature Calamine Clay Powder – 227g (8 oz) for DIY Face Masks, Scrubs, Soaps, Bath Bombs by Heather Jones

That's what it claims. POWDER. and also pink.

Bought to fill a bottle with Clamin liquid lotion and hope it thickens. It is, but for some reason the lotion is too runny and I added half a packet to the 4 ounce size and it was still runny. But it's thicker and I'm happy with it. I was hoping to make it the same as the AVEENO formula which is very thick. But the cost of all lotions and products containing calamine has invariably gone beyond what they actually are. I rarely use it, but due to our wet summer and spring, we have live insects that don't usually bother us, and I've had a super reaction to stings. I never get a little Wait, maybe because we rarely have skeeters etc. But this year is an exception and every brand of calamine seems to help with hindsight. The price is high, but it helps. I also bought soap but I shower so following the advice in the review I use it after other soaps and conditioners and let the soap sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing off and going outside to dry. Yes, the rash was that bad. I had 8 on one leg and ankle area and another 12 on the other leg. Strange bites right through my socks and down to the floor. ? Nasty Skeeters recommends a powder to add to other lotions that can also be soothing. Create your own personalized bite formula.

Pros
  • To make your own glowing skin mask, mix calamine powder with your favorite carrier oil and a little water or buttermilk, mix into a paste, leave on skin for 15 minutes, then rinse off. It is so easy!
