This mount turned out to be surprisingly small compared to another one I had ordered earlier and Swivel arm, tilted up to VESA 400 x 400mm and 60lbs, for monitor. While the latter was definitely higher quality and more durable, the Mount-It!mount did the job as my 40" flat screen TV only weighs about 15lbs. While the mount is actually rated at 30lbs, I wouldn't dare put much more weight on it.The mount and travel extension are pretty solid, but the weak point is the 360-degree swivel feature, which is nothing more than a force-fit one -Screw connection between headstock and focuser, so that the horizontal balance of the Fer nsehers can be achieved as much as possible just by tightening this screw. as best as possible against a convex sheet welded to the ground at 4 points. These welds are tiny, very weak and one is already torn out of the box. So you have to be careful not to overtighten. This makes it quite difficult to hold the TV in an upright position, especially if you move your hand a lot. I still don't know what the manufacturer wants to achieve with this "hinge". I would never try to turn on my TV. This mount may be better suited for a small computer monitor than a large TV. In my particular case, I'm fine with that because it's built into the entertainment center and has no intention of touching or moving it. However, I certainly wouldn't recommend it if the TV is within reach and there are children in the house.
